While I don’t offer a Textmate for the PC, I did find a version of the Monaco font (which Textmate uses by default) so that we PC users can be 1 step closer to a Textmate app for the PC.
PS: If anybody wants to develop a Textmate app for Windws , let me know. While my desktop application development skills are few and far between I would be willing to host, design, create & maintain a website for the project.

Might even sIFR it for codeview stuff.
TextMate-esque for Windows (Alpha), Intype.info
e-texteditor.com
awesome.
textmate on windows(close).

thanks for the font. and check the post above if you are interested in a product close to textmate.
What about Visual Studio. its more than decent. and if you want intellisense, surely someone out there has written the XML snippets for VS to work on Ruby.
Intype.info I think is going to become my new favorite once it gets a little more mature.
salman: a quick google returned:

It’s not free but it’s designed to be an IDE for Ruby on Rails in Visual Studio
Hey dude!
Thanks for the font! atlast I found a nice replacement to courier new
[...] Why my dreamweaver looks more beautiful? I don’t find an alternative title. As like anyone out there I also envy on Textmate features where it is in almost all the screencast for PHP & RoR out there. So I started looking for a Textmate alternate on windows, then I come to this post Textmate envy. I tried the font Monaco, looks beautiful in only Firebug not in my Dreamweaver. With disappointment I started googling for any other download for the font Monaco, then I found this link Programmers font so I am not alone, there are more people out there looking for the suitable replacement to Courier New (isn’t the time to change?). I tried few Monaca, Dejavu, Bitstream Vera. [...]
A little late to the party, but you should check out e Text Editor @ http://www.e-texteditor.com/.
Textmate for OSX – there are no alternatives! As someone else said, almost all screencasts for PHP & RoR use Textmate.
When all the experts use a certain platform you know there is a reason for it. I moved to OSX for Web Development and I’ve never looked back!
I tried Monaco in DreamWeaver too and it does not look great.
Currently I prefer Segoe UI.
Thanks for this font. I use TextMate on my mac but my main development environment is, alas my windows machine – as someone has pointed out, e-texteditor is TextMate for windows, a wonderful program and a life saver for me. This monaco font is now the cherry on the cake – thanks for this!!
Netbeans 6.0 Beta looks quite nice with the dark theme (i.e. very similar to TextMate) and is Open Source:

I use the free Anonymous font on Windows instead of Monaco now.

Awesome tip!
As for a Textmate for PC, why not try Emacs (EmacsW32 for PC)?
The learning curve is a bit steep, but http://www.emacswiki.org is there for you.
After years of usage, I can’t find a thing I can’t do with Emacs — and most of the time someone else has already done it for me. And it works on Mac too!
You might miss a few features at first, but I’m sure you’ll soon discover Emacs features that you’ll miss in Textmate, making it even.
Cheers!

Thanks a Million, our company uses Win the whole way
and I’m used to the Look and feel of beautiful mac.
Can you plan to make a support for Cyrillic?
Oh yes – that’s what my E (the texteditor
) was missing – the Monaco font. Thank you
How about the greek missing characters?
thank you for this. switching to putty is so much easier now with monaco font. f000k courier!!!
E text editor costs, but there’s a free alternative that is just as good. Try intype (www.intype.info) to get almost all the functionality of textmate on windows. And on windows, Consolas looks a lot better than Monaco…but I guess that’s subjective.
thank you for this, it’s reall helpful…
If you’re looking for a great monospace font for Mac or Windows, you HAVE to check out Inconsolata: http://www.levien.com/type/myfonts/inconsolata.html
It’s free, as in beer.
Monaco not looking to well on windows.
Editor: try Notepad++ with QuickText plugin, it’s really great.
Where did you find Monaco.ttf?

For a Windows clone of TextMate, check out TextShell.
http://textshell.co.uk/
It’s not perfect, but it’s the best clone I’ve found so far.
Hey, this is an interesting project. The idea itself is also very good … Keep going on!
Awesome idea…. very useful, alsofor my future projects.

I was just setting up the Python window in Real Flow 5 and found that there was no Monaco font. And Monaco is best for pure even spacing, necessary to Python syntax.
So I went for a brief hunt and found this.

And you my friend are a friend indeed.
